Tribal Development Fund (TDF) Project:

National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) has been implementing various projects for the development of Tribal people across the country.  In Tripura this project was being implemented by Voluntary Health Association of  Tripura (VHAT) in five  villages of Lefunga Block of West Tripura and Laljhuri block in North Tripura district.
The project villages were- Shambhuram para, Bhwgwan Choudhury Para, Abhicharan village, Birmohan  and Gamchakobra village in Lefunga & Chandipur, Kanchanchhera and Jaymanipara in Laljhuri block.
The core development intervention of this project were-WADI (horticulture based homestead orchid) & Forest WADI development, women development, Micro Enterprise development (Piggery & Bamboo handicrafts), water resource development- rain water harvesting tank, creation of firm ponds & health camps.The monitoring visit of NABARD Tripura Regional Office, NABCONS and management of VHAT has been intensified for the better supervision so that project could give the expected results.
Beside the TDF project, the Women SHGs, Livelihood Enterprise and Development project (LEDP) and E Shakti programme for Digitization of SHGs also have the livelihood & skill development components.
